Mucyurabuhoro Clubs

This concept outlines the establishment of Mucyurabuhoro Clubs (Sober Clubs) in villages across Rwanda. Thes clubs aim to create awareness, conduct outreach campaigns, and form support groups within communities to address substance abuse and mental health issues. By aligning with the government’s Tunyweless campaigns, this initiative seeks to gather support from stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and community leaders, to tackle addiction challenges and promote mental well-being effectively.

Substance abuse is a growing challenge in Rwandan communities, particularly among youth. The Rwandan government has launched Tunyweless campaigns to curb excessive alcohol consumption and promote sober living. However, many rural areas remain underserved in terms of support and awareness. Establishing Mucyurabuhoro Clubs will fill this gap by fostering community engagement, providing resources, and creating support networks.
